Kodak Ektar is a professional color negative film introduced in 2008, designed for nature, outdoors, fashion, and product photography. The film offers ultra-fine grains, ultra-vivid colors, and high saturation, and is available in ISO 100 only.

Scanning kodak ektar 100

I use Silverfast which offers a Negafix profile for Ektar 100. On most scans, I don't have any color issues. On severely underexposed scans, I sometimes have to use the Color Compensation tool set to 20%-80% to reduce a slight magenta cast. This happens rarely, though.

Predictably, Ektar 100 is superb for scanning: it would be strange if a colour negative film for the 21st century were not. Bridge and lake. Combined with the unique look of a Thambar at about f/9, Ektar 100 is capable of giving the most extraordinary richness and painterliness to a scene.

Anyone have tips for scanning color on the Epson V600? and I´m not happy with the film flatness in the holder.
